I am a 7th Grade homeroom, religion and vocabulary teacher, and Middle School Math teacher. This is my thirteenth year teaching math at St. Joseph School. I have also worked as an actuarial analyst for a management consulting firm in Chicago, and taught high school math in central Illinois and in a western suburb.
I received a bachelor’s in Teaching of Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and started teaching Middle School students at St Joe’s in December 2003.
My Husband and I have three children, and I enjoy family time, hiking and softball. I was blessed to be able to spend a good part of the summer with my first grandchild (and his mom and dad) in Michigan, to attend two family weddings in Florida, and to participate in an exciting math conference.
Interested St. Joe students will compete in local Catholic high schools in math contests and scholastic bowls later this fall and winter. I look forward to the challenges and rewards the students experience learning new math concepts throughout the year.
