Teacher Assistant
We are looking for a responsible and vivacious teacher’s aide to join our team at St. Joseph School. As a teacher’s aide, you will work with students and perform additional tasks to support teachers in providing a comprehensive educational program. Our ideal candidate is industrious, cooperative, and knowledgeable about educational best practices and child development. Teaching credentials are not required.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the teacher in a variety of semi-instructional tasks; to work primarily in a general educational setting providing support to a student or students within the classroom and around the building; must be able to assist with communication, scheduling, and modifications of curriculum. The Teacher Assistant will be responsible for assisting the teacher in an elementary classroom through clerical support, planning assistance, and student engagement and providing direct student supervision during school recess and lunch periods.

Extended Care Aide
St. Joseph School offers a vibrant extended day program that runs from 2:30 – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. We are looking for warm, caring, and flexible staff who would enjoy engaging with our students during the extended care time. Come join our team.

This is an ideal position for candidates who love working with children, bring a great deal of enthusiasm and energy, enjoy sharing special interests with children, are self-motivated, take initiative and consider themselves to be extremely reliable. Candidates are available to work 3-5 days per week. After school hours are 2:30 – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. You do not need experience to apply, but preference will be given to those who have the following qualifications:
1. Previous childcare, camp or teaching experience.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Must be 18 years or older.
4. Physical stamina for when outside or in the gym.

Volunteer Nurse or Part Time Nurse
St. Joseph School is currently looking for a volunteer nurse to provide nursing and school related health care needs to the students of St. Joseph School. This position is for one day per week.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing;
• Pediatric experience is desired, not required; and
• School-based experience is preferred, not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Manage and provide consultation and assistance regarding specific health needs;
• Administer medications as prescribed;
• First aid and caring for ill students and staff; and
• To provide assessment, screening, intervention, and/or referrals concerning the health and medical needs of students for the purpose of minimizing absences due to illness.
